In the World of James Ensor with Xavier Tricot

We are delighted to invite you to a new cultural and inspiring evening, devoted to art, transmission, and passion.

We will have the great pleasure of welcoming you on Tuesday, February 10, at the Warwick, in the company of Xavier Tricot, Belgian art historian, artist, and writer, internationally recognized as one of the foremost specialists on James Ensor.

Born in Ostend in 1955, Xavier Tricot has devoted more than thirty years of his life to the in-depth study of the work and career of James Ensor. Author of the Catalogue raisonné of the Paintings of James Ensor and numerous reference works, he has played a major role in the understanding, recognition, and dissemination of this extraordinary artist’s work.

Curator of many exhibitions devoted to James Ensor in Belgium and abroad, Xavier Tricot combines acknowledged scholarly rigor with an artistic sensitivity nourished by his own practice of painting and poetry.

During this evening, he will speak with passion about James Ensor: his singular life, his bold and visionary work, and his fundamental role as a pioneer of modern art. An informed and vivid perspective on a free and profoundly provocative artist.

Schedule:

  • 6:30 p.m. – Welcome and aperitif

Fasting for Health throughout Women’s life

Fasting for Health throughout Women’s life

We are delighted to announce our upcoming event on January 29, featuring Dr. Verena Buchinger-Kähler and Dr. med. Françoise Wilhelmi de Toledo, two leading figures from the world-renowned Buchinger Wilhelmi fasting clinics.

Dr. Verena Buchinger-Kähler, the great-granddaughter of Dr. Otto Buchinger, founder of modern therapeutic fasting, is the current Medical Director of the Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic on Lake Constance. From an early age, she developed a deep interest in metabolic health and naturopathic medicine, shaping her clear vocation to become a physician. She gained extensive international experience in general medicine, pediatric oncology, and emergency medicine, and has published scientific papers and lectured widely. Her work bridges classical naturopathy with contemporary approaches such as mind–body medicine and orthomolecular medicine.

Dr. med. Françoise Wilhelmi de Toledo, born in Geneva, is one of the world’s foremost authorities on therapeutic fasting. Together with her husband, Raimund Wilhelmi, she led the Buchinger fasting clinics in Überlingen (Germany) and Marbella (Spain) for many years. As a physician and expert in naturopathic medicine, she developed and supervised the clinics’ medical concept, integrating fasting therapy with nutrition, mind–body medicine, and traditional European naturopathy. A former Chair of the Medical Society for Therapeutic Fasting and Nutrition and Vice Chair of the European Society for Classical Naturopathy, she has played a key role in the scientific documentation of fasting therapy and the development of international clinical guidelines. She has published numerous influential works and is regarded as one of the most respected fasting experts worldwide.

During this event, Dr. Buchinger-Kähler and Dr. Wilhelmi de Toledo will explore how structured fasting can support energy management, emotional balance, and long-term vitality. Offering a thoughtful approach to health across the different phases of a woman’s life, they will also address questions on how fasting may positively influence hormonal regulation, stress response, and inner stability.

An inspiring evening at the intersection of science, clinical expertise, and holistic well-being.
